Learning Support Coordinators

The learning support coordinator role strengthens the team by providing a dedicated person who is fully focused on identifying and understanding needs and coordinating the provision of support. 

Our role as a learning support coordinator is to focus on the following five areas associated with learning support needs:

• Support for students in school and kura.
• Working alongside teachers, principals and kaiako in schools and kura.
• Working with parents, family and whanau. We will simplify the system, so it’s easier to access services.
• Work with other LSC’s within the Central Taranaki Kāhui Ako. We will be assisted by the Ministry’s Learning Support Facilitator and work within the Learning Support Delivery Model
• Working with the school or kura leadership team to plan support for all learners.
